A delightful twist on traditional tiramisu using matcha green tea.
Ingredients

- 1 cup hot water
- 2 tsp matcha powder (ceremonial or culinary grade)
- 2 tbsp sugar or honey (optional)
- 8 oz (225 g) mascarpone cheese, softened
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
- ⅓ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 20–24 ladyfinger cookies (savoiardi)
- Matcha powder, for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare matcha by whisking matcha powder with hot water until smooth and frothy. Stir in sugar if using. Let cool completely.
- Whip heavy cream to stiff peaks. In another bowl, beat mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Gently fold whipped cream into mascarpone mixture.
- Quickly dip ladyfingers into cooled matcha (do not soak). Arrange a layer in the dish. Spread half of the cream mixture on top. Repeat layers, finishing with cream.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Dust generously with matcha powder before serving.
