Description
Deliciously crispy chicken cutlets that are easy to prepare and perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups boneless, skinless chicken breasts (sliced thin)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (Can substitute with gluten-free flour.)
- 2 large eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably seasoned) (Can substitute with gluten-free breadcrumbs.)
- to taste salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional for added flavor)
- as needed for frying vegetable oil
Instructions
- Start by slicing your chicken breasts into thin cutlets. Try to keep them uniform in thickness to ensure even cooking.
- Set up a breading station: Place flour in one shallow bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a third bowl.
- Dredge each cutlet first in the flour, shaking off the excess, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat about half an inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully place the breaded cutlets into the skillet without crowding them. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer the cutlets to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- Serve the cutlets with your favorite dipping sauces or sides.
