Description
A quick and easy recipe for Cheesy Garlic Butter Linguine Pasta with Savory Ground Beef. Perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz (340 g) linguine pasta
- 1 pound (450 g) ground beef
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup (120 g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (90 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup (120 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving 1 cup of pasta water. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet with the ground beef and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant.
- Season the beef with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Reduce heat to low and add the butter to the beef mixture. Allow it to melt completely, then stir in the heavy cream.
- Gradually add the Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses to the skillet, stirring constantly until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss gently to coat the pasta in the cheesy garlic butter sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
- Optional: Sprinkle with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes for added flavor and heat.
- Serve immediately while warm and enjoy your Cheesy Garlic Butter Linguine Pasta with Savory Ground Beef.
Notes
- You can thicken the garlic butter sauce by adding more cheese or reducing the sauce over low heat.
- Garlic butter is a great addition to pasta, adding rich flavor and creaminess.
