Description

A comforting and flavorful dish featuring bowtie pasta coated in a rich garlic cream sauce, complemented by savory Cajun seasoned ground beef.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 pound bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes for extra heat

Instructions

  1. Cook bowtie pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain excess grease.
  3. Stir in the Cajun seasoning and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Remove beef from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
  6. Reduce heat to low. Stir in mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy.
  7. Add the cooked ground beef and drained bowtie pasta to the skillet. Toss gently to coat everything in the garlic cream sauce.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
  9. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, add more Cajun seasoning or red pepper flakes.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for ground beef.
  • Other short pasta shapes like penne or rotini can be used instead of bowtie pasta.
  • If the sauce is too thick, you can add a splash of milk or pasta water.
