Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel and season them with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the honey and Cajun seasoning until combined and smooth. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Place the seasoned salmon in the skillet, skin-side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Flip the salmon and pour the Cajun honey butter over the top. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
- Remove from heat, drizzle with lemon juice, and garnish with parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- For best results, use medium-high heat for searing the salmon.
- If you don’t have Cajun seasoning, you can create your own blend with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Allow the honey butter sauce to simmer briefly to develop a richer flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently.
